HELLO KERALA

Your data

Privacy and cookies

This page explains what Hello Kerala stores, why, where it lives, and how to ask for a copy, correction or deletion.

What we collect

  • Enquiry details you submit: name, email, optional phone, travel dates, destinations, budget and requirements.
  • Newsletter email addresses, with the consent you gave at signup.
  • Aggregate search terms, to understand what travellers are looking for.
  • Administrative accounts for staff who publish content.

Why we hold it

Enquiries are held to answer you and manage the trip conversation. Newsletter addresses are held to send the dispatch you asked for. Search terms are aggregated and are not linked to an individual.

Where it lives

Content, enquiries, newsletter subscriptions and staff accounts are stored in a managed PostgreSQL database. Uploaded images are stored in Cloudflare R2. The site runs on Cloudflare Workers. Transactional email is sent through a specialist email provider.

Cookies

  • A session cookie for staff sign-in. It is HTTP-only and required for the admin area.
  • A language preference cookie (hk_lang) that remembers your choice.
  • A theme preference stored in your browser, not sent to us.

Retention and your rights

Enquiries are kept while the conversation is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for reference. Newsletter subscribers can unsubscribe at any time. You can ask for a copy, correction or deletion of your data by contacting the editorial desk; we will confirm what was removed.

Children

The site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect their data.
